Neuroscientific Data Analysis Internship (Python)
At MaxWell Biosystems, we develop advanced instrumentation for neuroscience and life sciences applications. Our instruments consist of custom-designed CMOS-based sensor devices, a data acquisition system with FPGAs and our software suite MaxLab Live. As we expand our analytical capabilities, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Neuroscientific Data Analysis Intern. You will work closely with our software development teams to assist in the development, validation, and refinement of analysis pipelines for complex biological data. This is a hands-on role where programming skills, analytical thinking, and scientific curiosity will directly contribute to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of research outcomes.
Your Mission
- Support the development and optimization of analysis workflows for large-scale biological datasets.
- Perform systematic quality control on processed data to ensure accuracy, reproducibility, and compliance with internal standards.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to troubleshoot analysis steps and improve pipeline robustness.
- Document analysis procedures and quality control findings clearly and systematically.
- Contribute to internal discussions on methods improvement and data interpretation.
Your Profile
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in computer science, data science, neuroscience, biotechnology, or a related field.
- Experience with data analysis in Python.
- Understanding of electrophysiological data or other biological signal acquisition methods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Eagerness to learn new analysis techniques and adapt to evolving research needs.
